Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (TOO MUCH DATA) (6-1) - Longshot moves up in class after rallying to win going a mile here Jan. 2 in a starter-allowance ($50K level). It was his first start since July 6, by far a career best, and he's worked fast since. I like that Irad Ortiz Jr, who had other options stays aboard, but make sure you box your bets in this wide open contest.
2nd pick: #2 (Passport to Chaos) (3-1) - He tired late after making a good bid when finishing a close-up fourth here at this level Dec. 22. It was his first start since Sep 1 and he has blinkers on for trainer Jay Servis (18 of 41 (44%) at this meet.
3rd pick: #4 (King of Spades) (6-1) - This veteran stretch runner has been very competitive in five straight starts dating back to early Sept. He's finished 4th in his last pair here and was closeup at the wire in each. A fast/and or contested pace would help his chances out.
4th pick: #6 (Ambassador Jim) (5-1) - He enters off a troubled trip in the local Tropical Park Derby Dec. 29. Florida bred fits with his best and is capable of getting a share with if that's the case.
