Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (VICTOR LOUNGE) (5-2) - Irish bred ships from New York where he raced evenly facing much tougher Nov. 18 at Aqueduct. He stumbled badly at the break and his overall effort was good under the circumstances. Trainer Wesley Ward drops him into a claimer and that's a 33% winning move (13 of 40) by Ward with maidens over the past 23.5 months. Looks set for a big run.
2nd pick: #7 (Going to the Beach) (8-1) - He has early speed and will be on the grass for the first time. Colt has raced in two straight races that have been taken 'off the turf' and think he's a contender at a square price.
3rd pick: #3 (Puertorican Style) (5-1) - On the sidelines for just over two months, he runs first off a private trainer change to veteran Phil Serpe. New barn drops him in class, switches him to the grass, and stretches him out in distance. Colt has shown good early speed on the dirt and is dangerous in this spot.
4th pick: #9 (Irwin) (10-1) - Gelding by 'Animal Kingdom' hasn't shown much so far but is dropping to a new low while moving back to the grass. Blinkers go on and he may rally for a slice at a big price.
