2nd pick: #8 (Motherland) (3-1) - He rallied to finish 4th facing tougher when debuting in a sprint Nov. 17th. Bet down to favoritism, he had to check sharply at the break and did well under the circumstances. Good barn (Gil Zerpa) brings him back quickly, stretches him out, and gives him a big rider upgrade.
3rd pick: #11 (High Mischief) (30-1) - Longshot has some early speed and is stretching out in distance in his third back off a four-month break. Capable of getting a slice of this at a big price.
4th pick: #7 (Balac) (5-2) - The morning line favorite, he's finished 2nd in both starts, each coming at this level while going shorter. An obvious threat, but at a very short price.
