Claimed that day by Oscar Gonzalez, he's worked her since, has her in at the price paid, and he has her going an additional 1/16th of a mile. I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Pasatime) (6-1) - Filly rallied to finish a distant 2nd at this tag going six furlongs Feb. 13. It was her first start since Nov. 30, her first in blinkers, and she should be finishing fast.
3rd pick: #4 (Bardot) (2-1) - The morning line and probable favorite makes her debut off a steady series of works at the Palm Beach Downs Center. The filly is from the barn of Todd Pletcher (39 of 186, 21%, with first-time-starters in 2019-20). An obvious win candidate in what is a rather weak field on paper.
4th pick: #1 (Ebony Bay) (9-2) - Away slowly debuting here for a $50K tag at this distance Feb. 5, she made up some ground to finish 4th of 12, beaten 10.5 lengths in a contest where the winner scored by almost seven. Trainer Ed Kenneally halves her in price, Gaffalione stays aboard, and this Oklahoma bred by 'Violence' is dangerous with an alert beginning.
