Top pick: #1 (WHERE'S STERLING) - Price play is talented, lightly raced, improving, and this is his favorite surface (5-2-2-0). Last out he finished fourth of 11 in the Donn H.(G1) and had some serious traffic issues late. Has the ground saving rail, a one-run style, and he can take this with a late move.
2nd pick: #4 (Alma d'Oro) - Pletcher trained veteran has always been a steady, but unspectacular runner for the barn. Six-year-old is (27-7-4-6) and returns from the Fair Grounds where he finished third on Feb. 25 in the Mineshaft H.(G3). Stalker fits, is training well for this, he's in-shape, and is a major player in this field.
3rd pick: #8 (Self Control) - Very lightly-raced son of "Lemon Drop Kid" was an impressive winner here at this distance on March 8th in an entry-level allowance. Effort was by far a career best and the race was run in fast time for the 1 1/8th mile distance(1:49.60). Factors right back.
