Top pick: #7 (WILD Z Z Z Z) (3-1) - Calder shipper has finished second in three of his for dirt sprints and in his lone poor effort he raced very wide from a tough outside post (13th of 14). Speed/stalker drops for a new trainer (Pete Walder 22% with new arrivals) and this grey colt had a near bullet 3-furlong breeze here five days ago.
2nd pick: #3 (Devils Peak) (5-1) - Gelding runs first off a claim by Jamie Ness (a strong 31% winning angle). Three-year-old has raced evenly in his last pair and the new barn brings him back in 19 days at the purchase price.
3rd pick: #5 (Unleash the Talent) (3-1) - Lightly-raced gelding was probably best when he finished second here at this price on Feb. 17. He was forced very wide in a small field, and after reaching the front at the 1/16th pole he weakened to run second. It was his first since debuting on July 4th and he runs off a negative barn change following a claim. Major player if he keeps his form.
4th pick: #4 (Sea Zar Run) (6-1) - Long-time maiden has finished second in 5 of 10 dirt sprints and has done so in both previous races at this tag. Speed/stalker must be left in the mix.
