Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #8 (WHO IS JARETT) (3-1) - He was competitive when debuting against tougher on the grass at this distance Nov. 10, but tired in his follow up on the dirt Jan. 2. Down in price and back on the turf, he worked fast 10 days ago and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #10 (Red Astaire) (6-1) - Woodbine invader was competitive in 3 of 4 there racing on the all weather surface. Stalker takes a slight drop for his first ever on the grass and is a threat if he takes to the new surface.
3rd pick: #6 (Young Raymond) (5-1) - Speedy and lightly raced, he finished second here going 6.5 furlongs on the dirt for a $25K tag Dec. 19. Only his second start, it was his first since debuting July 11 and he's on the grass and making back-to-back starts both for the first time.
4th pick: #2 (Dunmore Town) (9-2) - Debuting son of 'Uncle Mo' has worked here a half-dozen times since late Nov. and is from a capable barn (Ed Plesa Jr). Trainer is having a good meet as is rider Paco Lopez and this colt is a threat if ready.
