Top pick: #8 (RUTH E) - Bred to be a talented individual, daughter of "A.P.Indy" has been gingerly handled up to this point by Hall of Famer Bill Mott. She's only had two starts, one each sprinting and going a distance and showed improvement in start #2. Working sharply and trainer's main-man Kent Desormeaux is aloft. Ready to run well. Trainer is running a pair and they race as separate interests.
2nd pick: #2 (Paradise Bound) - The second of the Mott fillies is improving with each start, with her best coming under today's conditions (going long on the turf). Ready to run her best.
3rd pick: #12 (Warm Shower) - Post is of no help, but filly has plenty of talent, having finished close-up seconds in her only two appearsnces. Great, smallish operation (Angel Penna jr.) rarely dosen't send one out that can't win.
4th pick: #4 (Queen Caribes) - Lightly-raced filly makes only her second start after a nice debut that showed she has some ability. Prado takes the reins for trainer Barclay Tagg, who usually does very well at this meet.
