Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #5 (AWESOME EVIL) (3-1) - She set a pressured pace and held gamely to finish second of 10, missing by 1.5 lengths here at this level going 6.5 furlongs Dec. 26. The winner of that contest won again here yesterday and I give this filly a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Magnitude Ten) (6-1) - Price play had a very wide trip from an outside post when finishing far behind 'Awesome Evil' Dec. 26. Stretch runner was competitive in her previous attempt and draws a much better post tan in her latest.
3rd pick: #7 (Aaliyah Marie) (5-1) - On the sidelines for the past two months, she was never involved going a mile on the grass last out. However, she had finished a pace-setting third at this level on the dirt Oct. 23 and is dangerous with a repeat of that effort.
4th pick: #8 (Two Cents Worth) (9-2) - Speedy and lightly raced, she finished second when debuting for a $20K tag Nov. 8, but tired at this tag in her follow up Dec. 5. She has a flexible style and her outside post will give apprentice Torres some early options.
