Top pick: #6 (RACHEL'S TEMPER) (5-2) - Speed/stalker has finished second in three of her four starts since coming back from an eight month layoff in August. Freshened up since mid-November she's training well at Palm Meadows and Joel Rosario stays aboard.
2nd pick: #9 (Red Parasol) (4-1) - She's found her place since switching to the turf and has gone 3-0-2-1 since making the change. Pa. bred is racing off a two month break and has a half-dozen published works here since mid-November.
3rd pick: #8 (Saratoga Lake) (8-1) - Home bred hasn't raced since a poor effort on the dirt when debuting in Dec. of 2013 at Aqueduct. Filly by "Rock Hard Ten" has some solid works on view and is dropping in class and moving to the turf. The presence of John Velazquez is duly noted.
4th pick: #1 (Singfit) (9-2) - She showed nothing when debuting in late October at Belmont in a contest that was moved from the turf to a sloppy main track. Claimed that day by Chad Brown for $40K, he moves her up in class and switches her to the turf. Training well at Palm Meadows, Castellano is aboard, and Brown, who doesn't make many claims has won with 5 of his last 10 first off the buy.
5th pick: #3 (Love My Empire) (15-1) - Inconsistent type has a bit of speed and has gone 9-0-1-2 racing on the grass. Dropping back down today and she may get a small slice at a big price.
