Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #13 (RAGS FOR BRITCHES) (2-1) - He was the field's only main-track-only entrant and his connections got there wish. He finished fourth here at this distance for a $35,000 claiming price Jan. 23 which was his first race in two months. Trainer Mike Matz drops him down to run for a $20K tag and this colt by 'Union Rags' enters of a bullet 3-furlong breeze Feb. 9 at the Palm Meadows Center.
2nd pick: #12 (King Leo) (4-1) - He's been competitive in three of his last four on the grass and is a better horse than the last time he raced on the dirt. Colt has positional speed to use, a good post, and Irad Ortiz Jr. is aboard.
3rd pick: #9 (Mr Nobody) (7-2) - A lot like 'King Leo', he moves back to the dirt following three straight solid attempts on the grass. Another with some early speed, this state bred must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (Littleroughjustice) (8-1) - A very lightly raced grey gelding, he's only raced twice and was 9 lengths in back of 'Rags for Britches' last out. Blinkers are added and this longshot may get a minor award at a big price.
