Top pick: #1 (KHUKURI) - Sharp try in his only race, saw him just miss on Dec.11th at Calder after being up and on the pace the whole race. Freshened up since by a top turf barn (Chris Clement), son of "War Chant" will race today with lasix added (a 23% move by his trainer). Rail draw is a plus.
2nd pick: #7 (Tribal Bead) - Expensive ($400,000) son of "Indian Charlie" will try the grass for the first time. He ran well in several starts last year at two, on both "poly" and dirt. Dangerous barn (Bill Mott) is calling the shots.
3rd pick: #3 (Duke Of Mischief) - Son of "Graeme Hall" will be returning from a July 12th layoff for trainer Dave Fawkes. Well bet in his debut, he was away "slowly" and finished 4th to a very good colt. Works say he's ready to run well, and Eibar Coa takes the ride. He and Fawkes are a solid 27% when teamed together.
4th pick: #2 (Hot Rod Tutt) - Excellent debut saw him set-press the pace on this course going 7 1/2 furlongs, and stay on the whole race to miss by less than a length. Dangerous runner.
