2nd pick: #7 (Upholder) (10-1) - Home bred by the fleet 'Henny Hughes' pressed the pace before tiring late to check in 6th of 11, beaten just over four lengths when debuting here Dec 23. Filly was bet down to 5-2 favoritism that after noon and is working very fast for this attempt. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Bodacious Babe) (9-2) - She chased and held down the place spot to a 'much the best' winner racing here at this level and distance Jan 2. A huge improvement over her debut and daughter of 'Mineshaft' must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #6 (Euphorically) (4-1) - One of two fillies making their debuts, daughter of 'Hard Spun' has some quick works showing and it's noted that Javier Castellano is aboard.
