Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (PEACEFUL FEELING) (3-1) - A home bred daughter of 'War Front', she raced extremely wide when missing by 3 lengths when debuting Oct. 8 at Belmont Park. She's been working steadily at the Palm Meadows Center since early December for trainer Chad Brown (26% second time out) and 30% off of long layoffs. I give her an edge if ready, but make sure you box your bets in this race.
2nd pick: #1 (Avocado) (5-2) - A $250,000 purchase, she tired last out after having a wide trip from an outside post (12 of 12) here at this distance Jan. 12. She had just missed in her previous start, moves to the rail, and the red hot barn of Todd Pletcher has leading rider Luis Saez back on the re-ride. The trainer has won with an amazing 22-of-46 (48%) when dropping maidens into claimers for the first time since the start of 2018 and this filly is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Get Rewarded) (6-1) - This filly maiden up some ground when debuting here in a 5-furlong grass sprint Dec. 23. Two of her three works heading into this attempt are above average and it's noted that Javier Castellano gets on this filly who is stretching out in distance.
4th pick: #5 (Talkthetalk) (8-1) - Speedy sort is stretching out in distance while racing on the grass for the first time. Her figures are much lighter than the other three selections, but her early speed and the fact Irad Ortiz jr is aboard, which makes her a longshot threat.
