2nd pick: #1 (Canadian Game) (3-1) - $375,000 son of 'Curlin' has early speed and breaks from the rail. Colt has exchanged decisions with 'Draft Pick' the two tomes they've met and looks set for a competitive effort.
3rd pick: #9 (Regulate) (9-5) - One of two entered by Bob Baffert and the 'Hall of Fame' trainer has won with 6 of 12 starters (50%) at this meet. This Juddmonte home bred has worked a dozen times since late September and Baffert (27% first out) has won with 38-of-87 (43%) when riding fellow 'Hall' member Mike Smith over the past 23.5 months.
4th pick: #5 (Destiny Awaits) (6-1) - The second of the Baffert trained pair,he bobbled at the break and was never involved when debuting in a Del Mar sprint at this level Nov. 11. He's worked fast since, and Baffert (25% second time out) adds blinkers (25%), and stretches him out in distance (26%). Longshot possibility.
