Top pick: #6 (WINGATE HALL) (3-1) - Well-bred gelding moves up in class and stretches back out in distance after a good-looking maiden win here going 6-furlongs on Feb. 7. Three-year-old by "Street Sense" draws a nice outside post, has a fast work at Palm Meadows on March 6th, and is nicely spotted by trainer Ian Wilkes.
2nd pick: #2 (El Beitz) (2-1) - He moves up in class after winning here at this distance for a $16K tag on Feb. 7. Colt by "With Distinction" has been sharp in three of his four starts. Fits and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Quarton Lake) (5-1) - Very lightly-raced, grey gelding stretches out in distance after a maiden win here going 6-furlongs on Feb. 23. Has the rail and I am expecting him to be sent hard and try and steal this one.
4th pick: #4 (Desenhado) (8-1) - Improving home-bred by "Tapit" won an "off the turf" contest here going two-turns on Feb. 21. That was a career best and he has more tactical speed than most. In the mix.
