Top pick: #7 (GIBSON'S BULLET) (5-2) - Colt has been freshened up since he finished a rallying third here when facing tougher on this course at this trip Jan. 18. He's been competitive in all four starts, is training well at Palm Meadows, and trainer Barclay Tagg drops him into a claimer for the first time.
2nd pick: #5 (Atlantic Spring) (7-2) - Much improved last out, Augustin home-bred rallied from close range to finish second here at this tag on Feb. 1. Trainer Graham Motion replaces apprentice Tate with Alex Solis and this gelding by "Stormy Atlantic" is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Reach for Yield) (4-1) - Un-raced since his debut last Oct. at Belmont, colt ran evenly that day facing special weights on the Belmont dirt. Son of "Curlin" is training steadily at Palm Meadows and trainer Chad Brown (28% off of long layoffs) moves him to the turf, drops him down, and stretches him out in distance.
4th pick: #3 (Broadway Zen) (5-1) - The main speed, grey colt will be racing on the grass and attempting a two-turn distance, both for the first time. He should be in this most of the way.
