Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (HIGHTAILING) (5-2) - A home bred filly by 'Orb,' she rallied to finish 2nd when debuting here on a sloppy surface at this level going seven furlongs Jan. 27. She's worked three times since for veteran 'Shug' McGaughey, who won yesterday's Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2).
2nd pick: #1 (Elegant Rose) (3-1) - This speedy filly missed by just under a length going 8.5 furlongs here at this level Feb. 9. It was her first off a $50,000 claim by leading trainer Jorge Navarro, and she's an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Dunbar Road) (2-1) - The field's lone debuting filly, she's by 'Quality Road,' and sold for $350,000 as a yearling back in Sept. of 2017. In the barn of Chad Brown (20% first out), Jose Ortiz is aboard.
4th pick: #2 (Sally's Curlin) (6-1) - A $160,000 daughter of 'Curlin,' she's one of two entered by trainer Dale Romans, and the pair race uncoupled. She broke slowly and raced evenly when debuting in a Churchill Downs sprint June 29 and has a fine series of works on view at the Palm Meadows Center.
