Top pick: #7 (BRIDLED HEIRESS) (2-1) - Home-bred was bet down to 6-5 when debuting here on Feb. 1st, and held to finish second after setting a quick & pressured pace. Filly had a bullet 5-furlong work a week ago, Castellano stays aloft, and this daughter of "Wildcat Heir" is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #8 (Love You Loads) (5-2) - Dangerous rival, this grey filly by "Giant's Causeway" rallied to run a close up third when debuting here at this level on Jan. 12th. She's had five published drills since, and trainer Todd Pletcher wins at a 34% clip second time out.
3rd pick: #3 (Cali Star) (4-1) - Besilu home-bred raced evenly form a wide post when debuting in the same race as "Heiress." Daughter of "Street Cry" was 3 1/2 lengths back of that rival at the finish, and draws a better post for her second attempt.
4th pick: #1 (Southern Honey) (6-1) - Nice debut in late Nov. at Churchill saw her race close up through-out and hold gamely to finish second in a large field (11) going 7-furlongs. On the sidelines since, she's been working steadily at Payson Park, and is a threat if ready.
