Top pick: #6 (AMBER MORNING) (6-1) - Daughter of "Pure Prize" raced evenly while having some traffic issues approaching the 1/4 pole when racing here at this tag & trip on Jan. 2nd. It was her first off a Patty Farro claim, and this New York-bred filly has some back efforts on the NYRA circuit that will win this.
nd pick: #9 (Lloyd Harbor) (4-1) - Filly by grass sire "Langfuhr" just missed here at this level and distance on Jan. 2nd at odds of 42-1. It was a career best, and she was well in front of "Amber" at the finish. It's Chamafi off and Castellano on today, and 4yo is a strong win candidate.
rd pick: #3 (My Cousin Fay) (5-1) - She has a bit of speed, and has taken some betting action in both her starts. 4yo finished an even third here at this level in an "off the turf" contest on Dec. 28th, and owner/trainer Steve Dwoskin has worked her twice since.
th pick: #2 (Kingdom's Crown) (12-1) - Filly hasn't raced since Aug. 4th when she set a quick and pressured pace before weakening late in a turf sprint racing at this tag at Monmouth. She's the speed nearest the hedge, and is a bit interesting at long odds.
th pick: #5 (Calm Reply) (5-2) - Lightly raced filly ships in from Calder where she missed by a 1/2 length racing at this tag on Jan. 4th. It was her first back from a 100 day break, and first ever on the grass. She's worked fast since, and must be left in the mix.
