Eight-year-old was re-claimed by trainer Marcial Navarro in late August and went in for a 2 1/2 month break. He's won two of thre since returning with his only poor effort coming in a $110K sprint stake here Dec 5. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #6 (Right On Ready) (5-2) - He had a solid 2015 going 10-5-2-0 overall. Speed/stalker has won three in a row and runs first off a Patty Farro claim (17%). Very consistent and his local record is 7-3-2-0. A strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Hand Picked) (8-1) - Stalker tired last out after getting into a speed duel with 'Artefacto'. He's racing third back off a two month break and has a shot if stalking tactics are used.
4th pick: #2 (Keyed Cache) (5-1) - No-speed type raced very wide last out while never involved. Six-year-old had been much more competitive in his previous trio and wasn't that far off of 'Artefacto' in two of those. He would love a fast/and or contested pace to develop which would help his stretch running style out.
