Top pick: #10 (PERFORMANCE BONUS) (3-1) - He's been on the sidelines since late Oct. when he finished second at Belmont in his debut going 6.5-furlongs. Trainer Chad Brown (37% second time out) has him working fast at Palm Meadows for his return. He stretches him out in distance (33%) and Castellano stays aboard.
nd pick: #7 (Great Stuff) (4-1) - His lack of early speed is apparent, but colt has closed strongly in both starts to finish third. He's going a bit longer today and is making back-to-back starts for the first time. Win candidate.
rd pick: #8 (Polo Art) (15-1) - Dizney home bred has early speed and is stretching out to a mile for the first time. Working well and he can be in this from start-to-finish at a big price.
th pick: #3 (Blue Cap) (15-1) - He's been gelded since tiring here going two-turns on the grass Dec. 31. It was his first in 70 days and this home bred is another who could factor at long odds.
th pick: #2 (Lieutenant Colonel) (6-1) - One of seven making their debuts, he's from the fine barn of Chad Brown (22% first out). Colt has been in steady training at Palm Meadows since mid-November and looks well prepared.
