2nd pick: #6 (Straightaway May) (6-1) - He raced evenly when debuting in a grass sprint Oct. 13. Colt was bumped at the break and that most likely cost him a better finish. Good barn (Wesley Ward) has him working fast and he's a major threat with a clean getaway.
3rd pick: #1 (Malagacy) (5-2) - Debuting colt sold for $190,000 this past May as a 2-year-old in training. In the Pletcher barn (19% first out), he's been in steady training at Palm Beach Downs since shipping from New York in early October. Dangerous if ready.
4th pick: #8 (Classic Move) (10-1) - Lasix is added by 'Hall of Famer' Shug McGaughey ( a 30% winning move by the barn). Colt tired badly when debuting at Laurel Sept. 11, but this trainer is always better second time out (26%).It's noted that John Velazquez is signed on.
