Top pick: #6 (HEAR ME ROAR) - Freshened-up since a troubled turf sprint on the Saratoga lawn in late August, this filly is working sharply for this attempt. Daughter of "Lion Heart" ran well here last winter in both outings and trainer John Kimmel will drop her into a claimer and stretch her out in distance, both for the first time. The top pick.
2nd pick: #8 (Bunny Valentine) - Claimed out of her debut for $40K by trainer Milt Wolfson, she raced close up before weakening facing special weights six weeks later in her first for the new barn. Wolfson brings her back in nine dyas and drops her just under the purchase price this afternoon.
3rd pick: #7 (Inaugrate) - Home-bred daughter of "Empire Maker" raced evenly when debuting in a race "down the hill" at Santa Anita on Oct. 13. Working fine since and a very good barn (Tom Proctor) drops her into a claimer and she travel a little farther today, a distance she was bred to love.
4th pick: #2 (Volans) - Her best came two back when she set the pace and weakened to finish second, racing for $40,000 at Calder. She's the speed nearest the hedge and will be involved from the start.
