Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (PAYNTER FEST) (3-1) - Filly has been freshened up since tiring here at this distance for twice this price Feb. 21. Claimed that day by Vic Barboza, Jr. for $12,500, he's won with 20 of 38 (55%) off of that transaction in 2019-20. One-run type worked a well above average half-mile April 4th and prior to her latest, the 4yo had been competitive in six of seven overall.
2nd pick: #4 (Time to Two Step) (4-1) - Lightly raced 4yo broke her maiden here at this distance March 21 in her first race since Jan. 4. She's worked since, is conservatively spotted by owner/trainer Pete Walder, and is a threat right back in her first facing winners.
3rd pick: #1 (Samoa) (6-1) - Home-bred 'won' at this tag and trip Feb. 20, but was disqualified and placed 2nd. Heavily favored in her follow up under similar conditions March 11, she tired to check-in 4th after a pace-stalking trip. 4yo has a ground-saving post, races third back following a 100-day break, and must be left in the mix today.
4th pick: #3 (Stormy Boss) (7-2) - She's stretching out to a mile after rallying from close range to miss by a 'neck' sprinting at this $6,250 tag on March 27. Home-bred is capable of impacting if she likes the longer distance.
