Stalker was an easy 3.5-length winner at this distance for a $6,250 price tag April 16 as she cleared the 3l condition after a re-claim by Larry Rivelli on March 5. I give this home-bred by 'Congrats' top billing.
2nd pick: #7 (Miz Chaplin) (6-1) - Filly tired in the slop going seven furlongs for twice this tag April 30. It was her second poor effort on an 'off' track, but note that she's won the last two times when on a fast surface. Speedy 3yo is a threat at a square price.
3rd pick: #2 (Peace Control) (9-2) - A winner for a $6,250 claiming price Jan. 24, she then checked in a distant and even 4th while not-threatening for a $20K tag March 12. That was her first off a Vic Barboza, Jr. claim, and he drops her down for this attempt. The Canadian-bred worked a near bullet half-mile April 30 and is in the mix today.
4th pick: #5 (Blue Blue Ice) (7-2) - Mare drops down following a wide and non-contending effort facing much tougher April 12. Competitive in seven of eight prior to that, she's a factor today as she drops down in class.
