Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (UMBRAGE) (5-2) - A $250,000 son of 'Lemon Drop Kid,' he ships from Tampa Bay Downs where he raced both wide and evenly when finishing 5th of 10, beaten five lengths when going 8.5 furlongs on the grass for a $32,000 price tag Feb. 24. Trainer Chris Clement switches him to the dirt, drops him to a new low, and he has Luis Saez aboard. I like his chances.
2nd pick: #2 (Zaman) (4-1) - This colt enters off a career best here March 16. Racing at this level and distance, he was hard ridden for the start and did stay on to check in 3rd of 10, beaten 4.5 lengths. By far his best in four attempts, I think he can factor in this spot.
3rd pick: #4 (Littleroughjustice) (3-1) - Grey gelding rallied from far back to finish 2nd, two lengths ahead of 'Zaman' here at this tag and trip March 16. Trainer Nick Gonzalez gives him a rider upgrade, and a fast or contested pace would help his late running style out.
4th pick: #7 (Totono) (9-2) - A lightly raced colt, he's broken poorly in both sprints, and is stretching out in distance while adding blinkers. Trainer Tony Sano brings him back in eight days and leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. is aboard for the first time.
