He's worked twice since, including a bullet half-mile breeze on the Palm Meadows turf on Feb. 28th, and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Part) (5-2) - He debuted in the same Feb. 15th contest as "Relations" and tired after setting a quick & pressured pace. That proven early speed is a big plus, and this colt by "Bernstein" should be involved from start-to-finish. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Chunnel) (8-1) - Son of grass champ "English Channel" raced evenly when debuting in a Churchill Downs turf sprint last June. Heavily bet that day, he's been on the sidelines since, and has a new trainer (Ed Plesa, Jr. 23% with new arrivals). Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #1 (Rompin Reid) (5-1) - He enters off a career best when finishing an even fourth here in the same Feb. 15th local contest as both "Relations" and "Part." Has the rail, gets blinkers added, and is a stretch threat.
