Top pick: #7 (MONGOLIAN HONEY) (5-2) - She had a good spot last out turning for home, but the horse in front of her drifted out and carried this filly extremely wide. She was favored that day in what was her first off a Jorge Navarro claim. Sharp in her previous race and she's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Miss Saturday Nite) (2-1) - Filly has fine early and is dropping to a new low in class. Trainer Tim Hills adds blinkers while switching her from turf to dirt and is shortening her up in distance. Very dangerous.
3rd pick: #1 (Where'stheprenupt) (10-1) - Canadian bred rallied to finish second here at this level Jan. 15. It was her first ever on conventional dirt and she's a win threat in this spot.
4th pick: #4 (Pleasantly Miranda) (7-2) - Lightly-raced, she rallied to finish fourth here sprinting on the turf for a $20K tag June 23rd. Veteran Chuck Simon brings her back quickly and switches her back to the dirt. In the mix.
