Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (FIRST IN COMMAND) (5-1) - One of several beautifully bred and lightly raced fillies, she's stretching out to a mile following a wide and even fourth-place finish here going 6 furlongs Dec. 19. It was her first race in two months and home bred daughter of 'War Front' has worked fast since and John Velazquez stays aboard.
2nd pick: #1 (Wajeeha) (2-1) - A Shadwell home bred by 'Medaglia d'Oro', she's switching from grass to dirt for Chad Brown, a 29% winning angle since Jan. 1 of 2019. 4yo raced wide when finishing fourth going 8.5 furlongs here Dec. 22 and is an obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Navasha) (7-2) - Unraced since Nov. 9, she raced close up while wide before weakening late in a mile turf contest at Aqueduct. Daughter of 'Giant's Causeway' had finished a distant fourth in a pair of dirt races prior to that and enters off a quartet of works at Payson Park since Dec. 14. In the mix.
4th pick: #7 (Singsong Bird) (8-1) - The field's most experienced maiden, she's moving up in class after missing by a 1/2 length going 7 furlongs at Churchill Downs for a $30K tag Nov. 29. It was her first race in 2.5 months, a career best, and she has a fine outside post at this one-turn mile trip.
