He raced head and head with the eventual 8-length winner that afternoon and is making back-to-back starts for the first time since the late summer of 2017.
2nd pick: #2 (The Mighty Judge) (6-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, he's lightly raced, well-bred, and drops to a new low in his first race since Sept. 30. A $240,000 son of 'Curlin', he's finished fourth in all three attempts facing tougher and runs today with blinkers on. An obvious strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Cause for Pardon) (6-1) - An even-paced type, he switches from grass to dirt and is racing third back following a three-month layoff. Believe a minor award is his ceiling.
4th pick: #6 (Station Rock) (5-1) - He's racing on conventional dirt for the first time after five starts on synthetic surfaces and one on the grass. Much like 'Cause for Pardon', I believe a small slice is the best he can do in this spot.
