Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #6 (KEILANI) (7-2) - A lightly raced 4yo, she's been freshened up since finishing second going 7 furlongs for a $10K tag Nov. 24. One-run type runs off a private trainer change to Sandy Matier and she'll stretch daughter of 'Strong Mandate' out to a mile. Filly draws well, has Luis Saez aboard for the first time and I give her a slight edge.
2nd pick: #5 (Odd Gal) (9-2) - Price play raced evenly while never contending going 8.5 furlongs hereon the grass for a $16K tag Dec. 27. No-speed type isn't that far off with her best figures on the dirt and should be finishing fast as she drops to a new low.
3rd pick: #7 (Kaufy Futures) (8-1) - Longshot has good early speed and a fine outside post at this one-turn mile to use it from. Freshened up since Nov. 13, she's a bit light on figures, but it's noted that leading rider Irad Ortiz Jr. is taking the mount.
4th pick: #3 (Paynter Fest) (5-2) - She raced evenly when beaten 5.5 lengths going 7 furlongs facing tougher Nov. 24 in her first after spending the Summer/Fall in the mid-Atlantic region. Much improved in her last four starts, she must be left in the mix.
