Top pick: #5 (FRANK'S STAR) (9-2) - One of several fillies that are making their debuts, this daughter of "Smoke Glacken" is working sharply and hails from high profile and controversial owner Frank Calabrese. All of her works are fast including a quick 5-furlong gate breeze here Nov. 30.
2nd pick: #4 (Wind Racer) (5-2) - Daughter of "Curlin" cost $270K as a 2-year-old in training back in March of 2013. Stonestreet runner is another that's working very fast and is from a sharp barn (Marty Wolfson). The presence of J.J. Castellano indicates they like her chances.
3rd pick: #1 (Lovely) (4-1) - Speedy home bred by "Pulpit" was competitive in all three starts here last winter. Two of those were on the grass and the other on a sloppy main track.
4th pick: #3 (Mine for Life) (3-1) - Darley home bred has been prepared for her debut at the Palm Meadows training center. Daughter of "Distorted Humor" is from a top barn (Kiaran McLaughlin)and he wins at an 18% rate first out.
