It was her first start in three months and her best overall since debuting last June. Speed/stalker is in an underrated barn (Marty Wolfson) and he wins at a 26% rate when sending runners longer off of sprints.
2nd pick: #6 (Now Power) (2-1) - The morning line favorite, she finished second here at this level and distance Dec 23. It was her first race since early June and 4-year-old daughter of 'Tiznow' probably need the start. Given almost seven weeks off to avoid a possible bounce. Trainer Brian Lynch has worked her three times and is adding Lasix.
3rd pick: #5 (Awesome Dove) (4-1) - Well bred filly is very lightly-raced and is on conventional dirt for the first time. She was competitive in her debut Oct 10 in a Woodbine sprint, then was never involved following a slow start here in a two-turn turf contest Dec 20. She's worked three times since and the Canadian-based Malcolm Pierce has John Velazquez aboard.
