Competitive in six straight starts on the dirt, he enters off a sharp half-mile work Dec. 2 at the Palm Maedows training center.
2nd pick: #8 (Rock and Fellers) (4-1) - Lightly-raced Argentine import ships from Maryland where he finished a troubled third, going 6 furlongs in the Laurel mud at this level Nov. 6. It was his first starts since late March and first in No. America. From a winning barn (George Navarro) and he has this colt working fast for this attempt.
3rd pick: #2 (General Obvious) (8-1) - Home bred colt has some very sharp works on view for his first start since Aug. 18. Strong finisher has an excellent local record 7-2-2-1 and is a late threat at a square price.
4th pick: #3 (Fillet of Sole) (7-2) - From the barn of Todd Pletcher, this $350,000 son of 'Union Rags' hasn't run since March 10. Training steadily at Palm Beach Downs, Pletcher has him racing with blinkers on and has John Velazquez aboard. Dangerous if ready, but he'll be over-bet a bit.
