Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (MAYITO) (3-1) - This lightly raced gelding has been competitive in all four starts and enters this off of a wide 3rd place finish at this tag and trip March 25. It came off a two-month break, a private trainer change to Saffie Joseph, Jr., and was this 3yos third 2nd place finish. Stalker gets top billing.
2nd pick: #2 (Rapstorerocks) (12-1) - Longshot was only about two lengths behind 'Mayito' here at this level and distance March 25. He had a tough outside post (12 of 12), draws much better today, and is dangerous at a big price.
3rd pick: #8 (Clifton Park) (7-2) - He's had solid excuses in four of his five starts which all came facing tougher. Colt lost by seven lengths here for a $30K tag March 8, a contest where he was bumped at the break and had traffic issues early on. Trainer Dale Romans drops him to a new low ($16K), and this son of 'Awesome Again' is a factor with a clean beginning.
4th pick: #10 (Hell Bent) (8-1) - Early speed type has lost ground during the stretch run in all three attempts. However, all have been here facing tougher, and he takes the same drop as 'Clifton Park.' $400,000 gelding by 'Medaglia d'Oro' was five lengths behind that rival last out, but his early speed could have him in this for a long ways at a square price.
