Top pick: #1 (QUARLA) (2-1) - The probable favorite, filly finished a close up third here at this level and distance on Feb. 27. Stalker moves to the rail, retains Castellano, and she meets a weak field. A swift recent work is another plus. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #4 (Lemonsrgoodongrass) (4-1) - Speedy mare exits the same Feb. 27 race as "Quarla." She set the pace and tired in the last furlong to finish fourth, three lengths behind that rival. In shape and her early speed in this rather pace-less group makes her a bit dangerous.
3rd pick: #2 (Ansiedad) (10-1) - She's been competitive in four straight here this winter, all at this $20K claiming price. In fine shape, she draws a good post and had a sharp work on March 3rd.
4th pick: #6 (Lloyd Harbor) (8-1) - Even-paced type has been competitive several times here this winter at this tag. Stalker almost has a good spot turning for home, but seems to come up a bit lacking in the final stages. Can factor, but needs to do better.
