Top pick: #3 (DIAMONDESQUE) (3-1) - Ontario-bred filly just missed here at this distance racing for a $12.5K tag on Feb. 13. Big effort was her first on real dirt and first came at a new low in price. Claimed that day by Pete Walder (26% off the claim), he doubles her up in value and she gets the call in a competitive contest.
2nd pick: #4 (Hope's Dream) (4-1) - The probable favorite, last out in first time blinkers she set a fast pace and held to finish a very distant second to a "much the best" winner. She's since come back with a sharp work six days ago and is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Crazy About Me) (3-1) - Daughter of "Lawyer Ron" showed some early speed last out facing tougher in her first start in almost 4 1/2 months and first off a trainer change to Ed Caramori. He drops her to a new low, adds blinkers, and she's in the win mix.
4th pick: #6 (Ad Meliora) (6-1) - Home-bred filly has been racing evenly facing tougher on the grass and will drop down a bit and switch over to the dirt. In her only previous main-track appearance, she rallied to finish second when debuting on Oct. 28 at Calder. Stretch threat.
