Top pick: #8 (ORATION) (9-5) - The probable favorite, home-bred finished second at this level going 6-furlongs on Jan. 23. Trainer Chris Clement (22% second time out)has worked him twice since and shortens him up a 1/16th of a mile. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #7 (Derivativecontract) (8-1) - Price play finished fourth when debuting on a muddy surface at Saratoga on Sept. 2 and did so despite "losing his footing" at the break. Working fine for his return and a threat at long odds.
3rd pick: #2 (Simon Bar Sinister) (3-1) - Debuting colt by "War Front" cost $130K last April as a 2-year-old in a training sale and has been in steady training at Palm Meadows since early Dec. In the Pletcher barn (23% first out), and is a big threat if ready.
4th pick: #6 (Pomeroy's Package) (10-1) - Longshot showed early speed and held to finsh third when debuting at Monmouth in early June. The winner that day has become a stakes winner since and this colt has been training well at Palm Beach Downs for his return.
