Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #9 (ZALZA) (4-1) - This NEW gelding takes a big drop in class for his third start. He raced evenly when debuting against Florida Special Weights Oct. 6, then tired after showing early speed in his follow up at the same level Oct. 27. He's worked twice since, with both above average, and gets a slight edge in this one.
2nd pick: #1 (Guerreron) (9-5) - The morning line and probable favorite, he's been competitive in three straight facing tougher. Good barn (Armand De Le Cerda) drops him to a new low and has Luis Saez aboard. An obvious win candidate.
3rd pick: #3 (Field Officer) (6-1) - He raced very wide last out in his first back from a seven-week break. Competitive in his first pair, blinkers go on for this attempt, and trainer Allen Iwinski drops him to a new low.
4th pick: #7 (W W Handsome) (6-1) - He made up some ground while finishing four lengths behind 'Guerreron' when debuting Nov. 17. Trainer Scott Becker (a strong 26% second time out) drops him down and gives him a rider upgrade.
