Top pick: #8 (TWILIGHT ECLIPSE) (7-5) - Hard luck gelding enters off of five narrow defeats, with four of those coming in G1 stakes. In every one of those races he was beaten by English import 'Main Sequence,' the 2014 grass champ. He eludes that runner today and can back to the winner's circle.
2nd pick: #6 (Change of Command) (10-1) - Longshot has the best early speed of this group and enters off a third-place finish in the local Macdiarmada stakes on Feb 21. He was a bit over a length behind 'Twilight Eclipse' that afternoon and his early speed makes him dangerous.
3rd pick: #3 (Imagining) (7-2) - Old timer can still bring a very big effort when set up properly. A graded stakes winner many times in the past, he was only beaten 2 1/2 lengths here in the Gulfstream Park Hdcp. (G1) on Feb 7. Prior to that, he was behind 'Twilight Eclipse' in three straight, but all of the margins were small. A major factor with his 'A' game.
4th pick: #2 (Arctic North) (15-1) - He enters in shape, but stalker has never been able to beat this kind. Working nicely for this attempt, the pace here should be moderate at best and this lightly raced 6-year-old may grab a share at a big price.
