Well-backed in all three attempts on the dirt, she's working fast for her first since Nov. 25, is bred for turf success, and I believe this $195,000 daughter of 'Uncle Mo' has a good shot at a very big price.
2nd pick: #11 (Lady Worthington) (7-2) - This daughter of 'Scat Dady' sold for $750,000 back in Sept. of 2017. She has sharp early speed, has been heavily bet in both attempts, and is working extremely fast at Palm Meadows. An obvious win candidate with John Velazquez aboard for the first time.
3rd pick: #12 (Silver Kitten) (9-2) - She finished a pace-setting third here Dec. 30 in her first since Oct. 20 and first in blinkers. She worked fast at Palm Meadows Jan. 19 and is a threat, but must avoid a wide trip from her poor post (12 of 12).
4th pick: #8 (My Maiko) (20-1) - Longshot raced both wide and evenly here in a grass sprint at this level Dec. 23. Barn stretches her out in distance, adds blinkers, and she may get a share at juicy odds.
5th pick: #1 (Cafe Americano) (3-1) - A $625,000 filly by 'Medaglia d 'Oro', she's from the barn of Chad Brown (19% first out). Working steadily at Palm Meadows, she draws a tricky rail post in her first outing. Everything from Brown is dangerous, but this filly will be over-bet in this spot.
