2nd pick: #7 (Lonesome Fugitive) (5-2) - Irish bred colt makes his debut off a solid series of drills on the Palm Meadows turf course dating back to mid-December. Bred for grass success, he's from the barn of Chad Brown (22% first out) and leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. is aboard. Colt looks all set for a big effort.
3rd pick: #2 (Tolkien) (6-1) - He rallied following a very troubled break to finish 3rd of eight, beaten just under two lengths debuting here at a mile on the grass for a $50K tag Jan. 4. Back in 22 days, his connections move him up in class for this attempt.
4th pick: #1 (African Heritage) (12-1) - Competitive in two of three on the grass, he finished a close up 4th here going a mile just one week ago. This grey colt has some tactical speed, draws a ground saving post, and is capable of factoring today at a square price.
