The Ramsey owned runner has been on the sidelines since late April and will run off a private trainer change to Mike Maker. He has this son of 'Kitten's Joy' working both steadily and above average, drops him into a claimer today for the first time, and leading rider Irad Ortiz, Jr. is aboard.
2nd pick: #8 (Preacher Power) (3-1) - The morning line favorite, he missed by a 'neck' for a $40K tag on the Churchill grass Nov. 1. In his follow up there 27 days later, he raced evenly going a mile on the dirt for a $50,000 claiming price. Back on the turf, he drops to a new low and is a very strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #2 (Tricky Magician) (6-1) - Speedy sort breaks just off the rail in his first since Nov. 11. Capable at this level, he should be involved every step at a square price and must be left in the win mix.
4th pick: #1 (Mystical Moon) (15-1) - Well bred longshot hasn't raced since breaking his maiden at Indiana Downs Sept. 20. A 4yo son of 'Medaglia d'Oro,' he has a speed/stalking style, is working above average, and has the rail. An interesting invader at a big price.
