Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #3 (ATLANTIC SUNRISE) (10-1) - Longshot is one of two fillies entered by trainer Graham Motion, and the pair race uncoupled. Freshened up for just over two months, daughter of 'Stormy Atlantic' has been bet in both starts. She finished 3rd sprinting in the Laurel mud when debuting Oct. 4th. Sent to the grass there Nov. 7th, she raced evenly while having some serious traffic issues nearing the 1/4 pole. Working fine at Palm Meadows, she has a solid shot at a big price.
2nd pick: #5 (Sky My Sky) (5-1) - Speedy filly has been on the sidelines since Nov. 1st. Daughter of 'Bernardini' cost $450K last April and is making her turf debut. As this is written, heavy rain is falling at Gulfstream, and in the event this race comes 'off the turf' she would be the top choice.
3rd pick: #12 (Winged Fury) (4-1) - She was competitive when debuting on the Saratoga grass Sept. 7th. Sent in for a nine-week break, she had no chance in her return at Aqueduct when she was bumped solidly and her jockey came out of the irons.
4th pick: #6 (Espresso Time) (12-1) - The second of the Motion fillies, she rallied to finish a distant 3rd sprinting on the Laurel dirt July 26. Not ready for the start that day, $1,000,000 yearling purchase has been on the sidelines since. Working nicely and is a threat on either dirt or turf.
5th pick: #9 (Fabulous Devotion) (8-1) - She has early speed and has been competitive on both turf and dirt. Can impact on either surface and at a square price.
