Top pick: #5 (PRINCIPESSA GINA) (2-1) - The probable favorite, filly ran well in her debut on Dec. 13 as she chased the pace after breaking from a tough outside post and tired down the stretch. Trainer Todd Pletcher (34% second-time out) drops her by more than half and she's since come back with a sharp work. Much the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #11 (Harbor Mistress) (12-1) - She has some early speed and will be trying the grass for the first time. Longshot is bred to like the surface and can factor at a big price.
3rd pick: #2 (Ocean Gal) (15-1) - She's from the same barn as "Harbor Mistress" (Ed Plesa Jr.), and is another trying the grass for the first time. Filly has shown sharp early speed in both appearances before tiring and should hang on much longer in this two-turn contest.
4th pick: #1 (Chuckle of the Day) (8-1) - She ran a career best last out when she stalked, made a strong bid, and weakened in the final furlong. It was her first ever on the grass and she'll break from the rail with blinkers added.
5th pick: #6 (Herecomeshoneybooboo) (15-1) - One-paced type has run evenly in all five dirt starts and is another trying the turf for the first time. Her ability to plod along may land her a share at a big price.
