Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #4 (BALLY SQUALL) (4-1) - Daughter of 'Bodemeister' is racing on the grass for the first time while dropping a bit in price. She rallied to check in 4th of 12, beaten just over 4 lengths going a mile on the Churchill dirt for a $30,000 price tag Nov. 7. She had some traffic issues that afternoon, has worked three times here since Dec. 10, and think filly has an excellent chance to win this.
nd pick: #8 (Narrow's Bridge) (7-2) - Filly has been competitive in all three attempts with each coming on the grass at different distances. Latest saw her finish third of 10, beaten 1.5 lengths at this $20K tag going 7.5 furlongs at Gulfstream Park West Nov. 16. It was her first race in three months and she should be involved every step.
rd pick: #1 (Mesa Madeira) (5-1) - One-run type rallied to finish second Nov. 16 and she was a 1/2 length in front of 'Narrow's Bridge' that afternoon. She has a ground-saving post and is dangerous if able to avoid any traffic issues in this large field.
th pick: #2 (Courtesy Notice) (6-1) - She raced evenly when debuting facing tougher on the grass at Kentucky Downs Sept. 8. Competitive in one of two on the dirt following that initial attempt, she drops to a new low, is back on the turf, and the presence of Luis Saez is noted.
th pick: #5 (Begin) (12-1) - Longshot has a bit of speed and is switching to the grass while stretching out in distance. She has a fine series of works on view, is from a winning barn (Armand De La Cerda), and he has Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard.
