Top pick: #10 (MR SPEAKER) (4-1) - Phipp's home-bred moves back to the turf after he tired badly after pressing a solid pace here on the dirt in the "Holy Bull" stakes (G2) on Jan 25. He won a Ge grass stakes here in his previous try and looked very sharp in doing so. Lasix is added and son of "Pulpit" gets the call in a "wide open" contest.
nd pick: #1 (Storming Inti) (3-1) - The main speed, he's won a pair of stakes at this meet, one in an "off the turf" contest on Nov 30th and last out tokk the $100K "Kitten's Joy" on the grass. Very "game" runner should be involved from start-to-finish.
rd pick: #4 (Pleuven) (5-1) - He's from the same barn (Chad Brown) as "Onti" and rallied from far back to finish 3rd to "Speaker" on Dec 21st. It was his first since July when he was racing in France and he should love this 9-furlong trip.
th pick: #2 (Patent) (8-1) - Longshot has a sgtrong closing kick and ran 2nd to "Speaker" last fall in a maiden race at Belmont. Bred to love this longer distance and Darley home-bred by "A.P.Indy" is a late threat at a big price.
th pick: #11 (Can'thelpbelieving) (12-1) - He rallied from far back to break his maiden here at this 1 1/8th mile trip on the grass Jan 11th. Improving, lightly raced, and Irish-bred must be left in the mix.
