2nd pick: #4 (We Miss Artie) (4-1) - He's bred & owned by Ken & Sarah Ramsey who raced the colt ("Kitten's Joy") for whom this race is named, so I'll assume they'd love to win it. He's one for two on the turf, and when last in action, he finished seventh of 13, beaten four lengths on the Santa Anita dirt in the "Breeder's Cup Juvenile"(G1) on Nov. 2nd. Working fast at Palm Meadows, and a serious win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Cabo Cat) (6-1) - Very lightly raced, colt by "Kitten's Joy" rallied while wide to run second here in the (G3) "Dania Beach" stakes on this surface Dec. 21st. By far a career best, and he had a bullet half-mile breeze at Palm Meadows a week ago. Price play.
4th pick: #7 (Scoria) (6-1) - Strong finisher rallied from far back to just miss facing weaker here Dec. 14th. That was a career best, and this home-bred by "Giant's Causeway" has worked fast since, and gets the addition of blinkers.
5th pick: #8 (Rope a Dope) (10-1) - Stalker is two for two on the grass, and last out defeated today's rival "Scoria" by a 1/2 length on Dec. 14th. Another that's been working fine, and must be left in the mix.
