Top pick: #2 (QUALITY ROAD) - Draws inside of his main rivals and has a big edge in the early speed department in a race that is very "light" on pace. He looked great in winning the "Fountain of Youth" and appears to be heading into this approaching his peak as this lightly-raced colt will be making his third start of his sophomore season. Tactical edge is in his corner.
2nd pick: #4 (Dunkirk) - Have seen the vast majority of expensive yearlings (this one cost $3,700,000) fizzle even if they made it to the races. This one is the big exception as he's been "ultra" impressive in his two starts (both wins). Scored at seven furlongs first out then easily won going this distance in his first start against winners. He has no "graded" stakes earnings and needs to win this to run in the "Derby".
